Arrive SGR Terminus
Take the Madaraka Express to Mombasa Terminus in Miritini. Kenya Railways sells the train tickets from KSh 1,500 for economy to Ksh 12,000 for Premium tickets.
Meet Driver
Your driver will meet you at the Mombasa SGR terminus, help with your luggage, and take you to the vehicle.
Pickup & Drop -off
You travel in an air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel and the driver will drop you at the door.

From the SGR Mombasa Terminus to the coast (Short guide)
Where is the Mombasa SGR Terminus? Mombasa Terminus is in Miritini, on the mainland about 11 kilometers from Mombasa town. It is not in the city center, so most travelers need onward transport.
Does the SGR go to Diani or Malindi? No. The Madaraka Express runs between Mombasa and Nairobi, with stops that include Mariakani, Miasenyi, Voi, Mtito Andei, Kibwezi, Emali and Athi River. Diani and Malindi are reached by road from Mombasa Terminus, which is the reason this shuttle exists.
How do I buy an SGR ticket? Kenya Railways sells tickets on metickets.krc.co.ke, through the USSD code *639# and at Madaraka Express stations. Check the Kenya Railways site for current fares, schedules and booking rules before you travel.
How do I get from the terminus to Mombasa town? Kenya Railways runs a commuter train between Mombasa Terminus, Miritini and Mombasa Railway Station in the town center. It launched in September 2025 with a fare of KSh 50 at the time. Confirm the current fare and times with Kenya Railways.
